It was just like yesterday when I attended the 25^th convocation of my school as a guest which I blogged about HERE. who could believe mine would come this fast! Alhamdulillah!  1^st of Febuary was Federal University of Technology Minna 26^th convocation and as usual is was a memorable and joyful day filled with love, smiles, laughter, hugs and of cos food.

Hi guys!! Today I’m going to be talking about my experience at the Blogger’s brunch which I attended at Abuja. Frankly speaking I was skeptical about attending the event because I didn’t want to be the only veiled girl around, which is often my #1 reason of missing out on event like this and excuse of not trying out new things. I often shamefully crawl back to my shell. Yea! I need a lecture on self-esteem!!

I am dedicating this post to my course mates turned family, four years spent with them has been the best part of my life here in Minna. The laughter, jokes, and fights are the greatest experience that I can’t trade for anything. Each and every one of us is unique in one way or the other, the love we share is massive.

HAPPY ONE YEAR BLOGOVERSARY TO LEEMLAR

Leema and lara’s blog was conceived on a Friday afternoon, got a call from LEEMA saying klebooo *a nickname we call ourselves* I just opened a blog! I was surprised because for the past six months I have been asking LEEMA to start a blog because of her outfits were always on fleek, her display pictures on bbm and whatsapp were and still beautiful, I felt she has what it takes to be a Fashion Blogger.

You are my Angel and mine alone said my Mum on the 25th of March, the day she brought me into this world at about 9.05 am,she said that my labour pains began around 4am in the morning (atleast I no suffer my mama for long *Smiling*) A birthday to me is a start of a fresh chapter of your life,where you get rid of some bad habits or begin to do things that are beneficial to us.I have celebrated over 20 birthdays, Alhamdulilah and each has come with different twists and turns, different achievements,different goals, and this year I made a lot of wishes but my top 3 wishes were :

There's time for everything, a time to sleep,a time to eat and a time to graduate. A Fut minna lecturer said "use your time wisely" while advising students during his class.Or the popular "Bros time no dey,I gaz reach gk b4 9" when you have a strict lecturer's class by 9 and you stay in Bosso.

WORLD HIJAB DAY

One of the many questions that  been asked is why does Islam make hijab mandatory for women? Islam has introduced hijab as part of the decency and modesty in interaction between members of the opposite sex. Chapter 33, verse 59 of the holy QURAN gives a very good reason; it says,

HIJAB NOT BOMBING

To some, the hijab is a symbol of female oppression and Islamic fundamentalism.But to us, the headscarf is a symbol of our religious belief in beauty through modesty.

THE ESSENCE 2016

Hi Guys!!!. How are you all doing?Today on the blog, I will be sharing with you guys our experience at the ESSENCE FAMILY FUN FAIR AND MODEST FASHION SHOW 2016. If you follow us on IG(@_lee_ma @faridahtauheed) am sure you must have known that LEEMLAR were at the #ESSENCE2016. Remember I told you guys in a post HERE that I will be giving my self a good treat for my birthday, coming all the way down for THEESSENCE2016 which held in lagos was actually the birthday treat, and it was a trip with so much exposure and a lot of dynamics to dressing modestly and still look beautiful.

I AM GRATEFULL FOR ANOTHER YEAR

As I sit back and think about what I am thankful for over the  years, I have settled on one thing that seems to have made the difference in my life over and over again.

VINTAGE SHIRT

Who say hijabis can’t have fun like other people? Then that person hasn’t met this girl call ‘LEEMA’. How are you doing lovelies? Hope y’all are having a fulfilled weekend? Any owanbe or Ya just chilling with friends? Well yesterday was my ‘’ME DAY’’ yes I made that up. A day I get to give myself some good threat.

This ME DAY was actually motivated by OMOTOLANIE, she is having this NOVEMBER HAPPINESS CHALLENGE on her blog here. And the DAY TWENTY challenge was to go out alone either to a restaurant, cinema or any place of your choice. Well if I was in Lagos would have optioned for the beach, since there is no beach in Abuja and I still wanted to do something with water so I decided to go to this cool place to chill by the poolside, well I ended up swimming!

Well I didn’t jump into the pool in those clothes. Here is one of my HIJABI STRUGGLE, my love for swimming combined with the strange looks and anxiety I get when I wear clothes for swimming *covers face*. More reason why I went on a Friday and during work hours when I know people won’t be around to stare at a strange girl all covered in strange swimming wears *hahahahaha

Do I still need to talk about what I wore *sigh* decided to keep it simple in this vintage shirt and loose pants.

As you all know we are in the month of October and October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a worldwide annual campaign involving thousands of organisations, to highlight the importance of breast awareness, education and research.The Breast Cancer Campaign is comprised of scientists and supporters who enable 'Pink Science' to go ahead.  What's pink science?  It's the research approach taken to look for methods of curing cancer - and with the money raised by the day improvements have been made.
