HARMATTAN LOOKBOOK: LOOK 2
I took the pictures of this look 2weeks ago and i usually don't have a reason for not posting on the blog. I seriously don't understand my mood lately, one minute i'm this girl ready to take over the world, next seconds i just don't understand what the meaning of "take over" is( if that really make sense) like my zeal to get something done will just go drop from 100 to 0.

UNDERWEAR as OUTERWEAR SLAY
Just like any other fashion trend, Leema decided to give this one a trail and I must confess it didn’t really go well with my community, the glances and laughs as I walk pass every one of them was like a mad woman walking down the street. It took the Grace of God and well my experience with my course mates during undergraduate days to walk well, (I mean catwalk well) without falling down.

TO MATCH IS LAME
I have never liked wearing wrappers, maybe because i grew up with a Mother who dressed us more in skirts and shorts but with maturity and the wrapper trend being always there in the African Society i decided to try it....AND I LIKED IT!!!!
I love fashion for one thing..its always changing and the static thing about it, is your clothes of 4 years ago can be restyled to make a BOLD FASHION STATEMENT.Denim on denim was tacky back in the days, accessorizing your outfit with gold and silver jewelleries at the same time was a Fashion Taboo..then mixing patterns together which has proven to be fun and not Trashy like people think it to be. I decided to rock the PATTERN and PATTERN

BEING AN HIJABI
I walked into the mall, feeling the eyes as
they followed me. Not one pair. Not two.
There must have been about a million. I passed each stall and people fell
silent and just stared openly at me.
You see, I can very conveniently wear a dress
that is long and flowing. I can pick out a floral scarf and wrap it beautifully
making my outfit complete and nice. I love to be covered and trendy, there’s
always a level of pride each time I step out all covered and nice,
especially when I get lots of likes on
the social media. I feel like I am making impact in my own little way.

MODEST MUSLIMAH BEAUTY LOUNGE
I was in Lagos for a week, the first place I had to
stop by just had to be the Modest Muslimah Beauty lounge. After seeing some of
their post on IG which includes different beautiful henna design, I couldn’t
just wait for another day to pass without visiting the lounge, and it was a day
to EID, no better day to have my hands speaking with unique henna design.

A VISIT TO MY LITTLE MANSION
Hi guys!! Who remember this
ancient house I took some pictures in few months back in a post HERE? that
picture broke the internet in its own little way, I got a lot of comment on my
IG page asking where the house was and how well my outfit blended well with it,
got me feeling KIM K without a nude shoot. As I was in that town again I decided
to go pay a visit to my little mansion.

SKIRT IT UPPPPP!
SKIRTS!I never liked wearing them when i was in school,i always thought it took a lot of planning to wear them but i guess i was wrong...asides it being feminine, it gives off a sophisticated look and there is a skirt for every body type and can be rocked with any foot wear.

THE BLOGGER POINT BRUNCH
Hi guys!! Today I’m going to be talking
about my experience at the Blogger’s brunch which I attended at Abuja. Frankly
speaking I was skeptical about attending the event because I didn’t want to be
the only veiled girl around, which is often my #1 reason of missing out on
event like this and excuse of not trying out new things. I often shamefully
crawl back to my shell. Yea! I need a lecture on self-esteem!!

CLASSIC VINTAGE VIBES
Hi guys!!! This was an impromptu photo shoot but I totally love the outcome. That very day I got a call from LARA saying REALEST (follow him on IG @realestideas ) was in town and he would love to have a photo shoot with us but he wanted an African inspired one with Ankara and a village location. Hearing ANKARA the first thing that came to my mind was an ANKARA palazzo, I wanted a very big palazzo made with Ankara and a peplum top made with another print of Ankara, the time frame was short I couldn’t make the peplum top and my Tailor (who knows best) decided to make his own version of “very big” palazzo telling me mine version will be too big and people would laugh.

THE GLORIOUS FINISH
I am
dedicating this post to my course mates turned family, four years spent with
them has been the best part of my life here in Minna. The laughter, jokes, and fights
are the greatest experience that I can’t trade for anything. Each and every one of
us is unique in one way or the other, the love we share is massive.

THE OFF SHOULDER SLAY .......from TACKYY to CLASSY!!!
Growing up I used to think that the ladies
who wear the off shoulder top had skirts on.#smh… …how we used to think as kids.
Off shoulder tops to off shoulder dresses to off shoulder jumpsuits can be
styled with anything from trousers, skirts and belts.A while back I was not a
huge fan of this off-shoulder trend going on lately because it looked a little
tacky or hippie-dippie , not saying there is anything wrong with it but LEEMA
made me see the beauty behind the madness and I just had to change my mind.

WE ARE AFRICANS
Ankara, a kind of African fabric which was
originally made by the Dutch for the Indonesian market has become a household
name in Nigeria or should we say in Africa as a whole .This African fabric, Ankara
is worn for any occasion from Sallah to Naming to burial services and even to
work, some people wear Ankara as an everyday outfit (Mostly Northern's). It still
surprises me how the Indonesian Market could not see the beauty in Ankara, thereby
not accepting it....#smh #DemNoSabi
BetterThing.

COOL KIDS ON THE BLOCK
Happy midweek guys! We woke up to the sound of rain but that didn’t stop us from taking this beautiful photos as planned but it’s also gave us some outfit inspiration. To ditch that silky flowing gown for distressed jeans, sneakers and not forgetting the blazer for the cold weather.
